What is needed is the ability to post a Mastodon timeline on my blog. That way people can comment on my blog by posting on Mastodon. I think there are commercial tools that do this, I am not sure what they are called. Here is an example, scroll to the bottom to see the toot.

@PythonLinks @pfefferle With the ActivityPub plugin, your posts federate directly to the Fediverse. People can follow your blog from Mastodon (or any ActivityPub client) and reply to posts right there - those replies automatically appear as comments on your blog.
And it works both ways: when you reply to comments, those replies federate back out to the original commenter's client. No need for a separate post or embedded timeline.
